What does it mean that the pieces are one-off?
It means that each necklace was created in only one copy and once it's sold, you won't be able to buy that exact piece.
What does it mean that the pieces are limited?
It means that each style will be sold in not more than ten (ish) pieces.
Why are you selling the one-offs/limited collections?
I would love to offer a unique product that matches your personality and only yours. I believe that one-off/limited pieces can offer a unique value that is so important for jewellery to become timeless and not only a one-season gadget.
Also, it allows me to keep a minimum stock and avoid overproduction. And, with any remaining beads, I prepare extra small pieces that I add to your packages!
When the necklace appears as sold out, it's never coming back?
Yes, in that particular design. And if you don't find anything else among available pieces (that you can find here), and you really liked a necklace that is sold-out, and I still have the elements, I'd be more than happy to make a similar one! It will never be the exact same but I'm sure together we can find the design that will fit you. What is amazing about the pearls that every single one is different and the uniqueness of the whole piece can easily come from changing only one pearl.
Do you use natural pearls?
Yes, all the pearls are natural! However, the correct word to be used is 'cultured'. It is very hard to find a natural pearl, that's why most of the pearls that you'll find now on the market are cultivated by humans. They still of course are naturally created inside of a mollusk.
If this subject interests you make sure to follow my Instagram where I'm sharing many interesting facts about pearls!
Do you use plastic beads?
Some of the pieces do have a few colourful plastic beads (ex. smiley). However, most of the elements are glass or natural stones. Also, I'm aiming to eliminate plastic from next collections! Please refer to the product description for details.
I can get much cheaper pearl necklaces at the high street stores.
Please kindly remember that small businesses and big retailers have totally different circumstances. By buying with small brands, you support one's dreams, ambitions, savoir faire and hard work. You invest in a unique product that was well thought through and often handmade (like in case of p é r l!). Small businesses can't allow themselves to make 100 pieces in 1min and must cover all the expenses like materials, software fees, taxes, and also put some food on their table.
What you can also be sure of is that every time you buy from a small business an actual person does a happy dance - just like this one! ;)
Do you ship worldwide?
As of now, I'm shipping only to the European* countries. But stay tuned for any updates!
Can I return my purchase?
I do my absolute best to meet your expectation, yet if you wish to return the necklace please contact me within 14 days of the receipt of the package and I'll put the refund into the process. For more details please see here.
Keep the gifts! ;)
How should I care for my p é r l pieces?
Please be aware that cultured pearls are very soft by nature so it's important you don't let them tangled up randomly with other jewellery pieces. That's why I would strongly recommend to store them in the lovely pouch you're provided.
You might also notice, that after a certain time of usage, some pearls change their shape. It's nothing but a natural reaction caused by the skin acid. To avoid that happening, please clean your piece with a soft fabric occasionally.
Cultured pearls don't like perfumes, hairspray, swimming pools, and overexposure to sun and heat. It might damage their natural nacre.
But if you treat them with a minimal care and love they deserve they will last a lifetime!
What's more, to motivate you to keep your p é r l for as long as possible you'll be able to refresh or redesign your piece once a year!
